This policy explains in detail how WMAC uses any information collected during any session of usage by you.
Your information is collected via two ways. Firstly, browsing the WMAC message board will cause the phpBB software to create a number of cookies, which are small text files that are downloaded on to your computer’s web browser temporary files. The first two cookies just contain a user-id and an anonymous session identifier automatically assigned to you by the phpBB software. A third cookie may be created to store which topics you have read, to make browsing the forums easier.
The second way in which we collect your information is by what you submit to us, including for registration and by your posts after registration.
It is the policy of the WMAC website that this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent unless we are forced by law, but personal information that you elect to make visible to others who have registered is not completely private, and depending on the forum, your posts may be public to the internet.
Your password is ciphered (a one-way hash) so that it is secure. However, it is recommended that you do not reuse the same password across a number of different websites. Under no circumstance will anyone affiliated with WMAC or phpBB legitimately ask you for your password. If you forget your password, use the “I forgot my password” feature provided by the phpBB software and you will be emailed a new password.
